Ukraine celebrates Christmas on Dec 25 for the first time; pics surface

Orthodox Christians in Ukraine will celebrate Christmas on December 25 for the first time this year. Traditionally, Ukraine used the Julian calendar, like Russia, and officially observed Orthodox Christmas on January 7. The law was changed earlier this year by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying it allowed Ukrainians to "abandon Russian heritage" of celebrating Christmas in January.
