Ukraine to seek compensation from Russia over environmental damage

Ukraine will seek compensation from Russia in international courts over environmental damage amid former's invasion, Ukraine's Environment Minister Ruslan Strilets said on Thursday. "Russian missiles hit our oil depots [and] chemical plants...Forests are burning, valuable protected things are being destroyed," he added. Kyiv has recorded 1,500 cases of destruction of ecosystems, he further said.
