Umar Khalid under trial for 7 yrs, killers walk free: Ex-Delhi HC judge

Ex-Delhi High Court Chief Justice AP Shah criticised the prolonged incarceration of Umar Khalid, saying, "He has been under trial for seven years while...murderers are granted bail." His remarks came after a Delhi court rejected Khalid's bail plea for the third consecutive time on July 4. Khalid is jailed under the UAPA in the 2020 Delhi riots conspiracy case.
