UN backs PM Modi's UNSC reform push, says 'Council should reflect 2026, not 1945'
UN Secretary-General's Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric backed PM Narendra Modi's call for reforms in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and said the current structure with five permanent members no longer reflects the realities of 21st century. "Whether it is the Security Council or the international financial institutions...they need to reflect 2026, and no longer 1945," he stated.
