UN Secretary General welcomes India-Pak ceasefire announcement

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres welcomed "all efforts to de-escalate the conflict", after the announcement of ceasefire between India and Pakistan on Saturday, Deputy Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General said. Guterres said he hopes that ceasefire would "contribute to lasting peace and foster an environment conducive to addressing broader, longstanding issues between the two countries".
