UN slams Pakistan over reconstruction at Taxila world heritage site, issues warning

The United Nations (UN) has criticised Pakistan over conservation work at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Taxila. UN warned Pakistan to reverse "reconstruction" at the Mohra Moradu and Sirkap archaeological sites or risk losing Taxila's World Heritage status. Photos showed new stonework replacing parts of ancient walls, while reconstruction increased the height of several structures.
