UN vows to broaden early weather warning systems in next 5 years

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday said early weather warning systems must be broadened to cover every person on Earth in the next five years. "We must boost the power of prediction for everyone and build their capacity to act," Guterres added. The weather warning systems will be developed along with the Geneva-based World Meteorological Organization.
