Unacademy plans to merge with Aakash, says report; BYJU’S denies it

SoftBank-backed edtech startup Unacademy is in talks for a potential merger with BYJU'S-owned Aakash, Moneycontrol reported. Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal is expected to run the merged entity, while BYJU'S Co-founder Byju Raveendran may get a board seat, Moneycontrol added. The deal will reportedly be a mix of cash and stock. However, BYJU'S and Aakash have denied any such development.
