Under PM Modi, India reduced procurement of Russian military equipment: US

A US report has said that India has reduced its procurement of Russia-made military equipment under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. It relies on Russian spare parts to maintain and sustain the large inventory of Russian-origin tanks and fighter aircraft. "India almost certainly will continue promoting its 'Made in India' initiative this year," the report said.
