Unexploded mortar shell defused near LoC in J&K's Poonch district

A live mortar shell was defused at a village in the forward area along the LoC in J&K's Poonch district on Saturday, officials informed. A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the village when authorities received information about the unexploded ordnance, as per officials. It apparently landed in the village during cross-border shelling by Pakistan some years ago, officials said.
