Telecom service provider Uninor, which operates in 6 states, will become Telenor India on September 23, marking its transition from voice operator to a data provider with 4G services. Norway-based Telenor Group had recently acquired Telewings Communications Services, which operates Uninor, as a 100% subsidy. Uninor operates in UP (east and west), Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
