Union Bank spent ₹7 cr to buy copies of KV Subramanian's book: ET

Union Bank of India is under scrutiny for purchasing nearly two lakh copies of a book by ex-Chief Economic Advisor KV Subramanian for ₹7.25 crore, ET reported. The bank reportedly paid 50% advance to the publisher of 'India@100: Envisioning Tomorrow's Economic Powerhouse' book before its release last year. India recently prematurely terminated Subramanian's term as IMF's Executive Director.
