Union Budget to be paperless for the first time in history due to COVID-19
Finance Ministry has confirmed the Union Budget 2021-22 will be paperless amid COVID-19, making it the first paperless Union Budget in independent India's history. The government had first decided to cut down on the printing of hard copies of the Budget in 2016-17 in a bid to go green. The Budget's Halwa ceremony was held on Saturday in Delhi.
