The Union Cabinet approved the new Income Tax Bill on Friday, which is expected to be introduced in the Parliament in the coming week, PTI reported. The proposed Bill is aimed at simplifying direct tax laws and making them more accessible. The government also intends to reduce the length of the over six-decade-old Income Tax Act through the new Bill.
