Union Cabinet approves Phase 3 of Bangalore metro rail project

Union Cabinet on Friday approved Phase 3 of the Bangalore Metro Rail Project. Spanning 44.65 km across two corridors, the project will extend Bengaluru’s metro network to 220.2 km by 2029. With a budget of ₹15,611 crore, it aims to improve connectivity to the airport and major IT hubs, facilitating smoother urban travel.
