Union calls Amazon workers to strike on 'Prime Day' in Germany

Ver.di, a German trade union, has called on Amazon workers at seven warehouses to go on a two-day strike coinciding with Amazon's global 'Prime Day' promotion event. Ver.di said the strike was for better pay and working conditions for workers, among other things. An Amazon spokesperson said majority of employees were continuing to work as normal despite the strike call.
