United Continental Holdings, the Chicago-based carrier, has given 2 awards worth 1 million ‘frequent flier’ miles to hackers who uncovered gaps in the company's web security. The miles, offered as “bug bounties”, are worth dozens of domestic flights with the airline. United had unveiled the approach in May, weeks after technical glitches grounded its fleet twice.
