United Spirits to shut Hyd unit that generated ₹600 cr revenue

United Spirits will shut operations at its manufacturing unit in Hyderabad by August 31. The facility contributed about 2% of the company's revenue from operations, or nearly ₹599 crore. The closure is part of company's multi-year Supply Chain Agility Programme, under which it plans to transfer the excise licence issued by the Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department to another party.
