Unnecessary, illogical: CJI Chandrachud on controversy over PM's visit to his home

Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud said the controversy on PM Narendra Modi's visit to his residence for Ganpati Puja was "unnecessary, unwarranted and illogical". He said PMs and CMs visit homes of judges, CJIs and Chief Justices of High Courts on social occasions like children's marriages/festivals, adding, "Except for exchange of pleasantries, no other matter is discussed."
