UP, Bihar & MP see rise in share of credit users over last 10 yrs: Report

According to a TransUnion CIBIL report, credit growth in northern and central India outpaced western and southern states between 2017 and 2026. During this period, Uttar Pradesh's share of credit-active consumers (people using formal credit) rose from 8% to 11%, Madhya Pradesh's from 4% to 6%, while Tamil Nadu's declined from 11% to 9% and Maharashtra's from 12% to 10%.
