Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi, a 1989 batch IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He replaces Manoj Ahuja, who has returned to his home state of Odisha as Chief Secretary. The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
