UP Cabinet approves ₹300-cr plan to develop 14,429 primary schools as smart schools

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to develop 14,429 primary schools as smart schools under the Basic Education Council. The government has allocated ₹300 crore for the initiative, with ₹2.07 lakh for each school. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said the schools will have internet connectivity to modernise education and improve learning in government schools.
