UP consumes 4 lakh tonnes of sugar monthly, has 28 lakh tonnes in stock: CM

UP CM Yogi Adityanath dismissed concerns over sugar crisis, saying there is no shortage of sugar in the state. "UP's total monthly sugar consumption is 4 lakh tonnes; against this, we have a stock of 28 lakh tonnes," he said. "UP can feed not only its own population of 25 crore...but also India's entire population of 140 crore," he added.
