UP cow shelter uses flute music to help reduce cattle's stress

A cow shelter in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur has introduced soft flute music and soothing instrumental tunes to reduce cattle stress and improve milk production. Speakers installed across the cowshed play music at low volume. Gaushala in-charge Dr Sandeep Kumar Mishra said research suggests that soft music may help lower cortisol levels, a hormone associated with stress in cows.
