UP farmers selling stubble for biomass at ₹2 per kg

Farmers are selling their stubble and sugarcane leaves for biomass briquettes (fuel) at ₹2 to ₹3 per kg in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur. This is preventing the farmers from stubble-burning, thereby protecting the environment and relieving farmers from legal actions related to stubble-burning. The factory that makes biomass from these stubble said, "Our sole aim is to make India pollution-free."
