UP govt can use Shri Banke Bihari Temple's funds for corridor: SC
Supreme Court on Thursday permitted the Uttar Pradesh government to use the fixed deposits of Shri Banke Bihari Temple trust in Vrindavan to acquire five-acre land around the temple for its ₹500-crore corridor development project. SC ordered that the acquired land be registered in the name of the deity. Allahabad HC had earlier denied the use of the temple's funds.
