UP govt plans to roll out ₹1-lakh interest-free loan to 1 crore women ahead of polls

Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to roll out the Mahila Udyami Credit Yojana to provide interest-free credit of up to ₹1 lakh to around one crore women. The credit will be provided in three tranches of ₹20,000, ₹30,000 and ₹50,000, subject to repayment of the previous tranche. The scheme targets women linked to self-help groups under State Rural Livelihood Mission.
