UP govt reclaims 58-acre Waqf land, registers it as govt property
UP government has reclaimed 93 bighas (around 58 acres) of Waqf land in Kaushambi district and registered it as government land, reports said. Around 240 acres of land in the district was registered under Waqf Board, of which 58 acres have been freed, according to DM Madhusudan Hulgi. This comes days after the Centre passed the Waqf Act in Parliament.
