UP govt spent ₹6,812 crore on ads in 8 years: Report

The Uttar Pradesh government spent ₹6,811.94 crore on advertising and publicity between FY2017-18 and FY2024-25, averaging ₹2.32 crore per day. More than 83% of the expenditure was on advertising and visual publicity. According to the report, this daily spending was higher than the Central government's average advertising expenditure during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure.
