UP hospital manager performs surgery in doctor’s absence, held

A 24-year-old hospital manager was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli after allegedly performing surgery on a 27-year-old woman without a doctor present. Police said Indrajeet Prajapati operated on Suman at Indra Hospital, following which she died. An inquiry and postmortem led to an FIR under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police said Prajapati admitted performing the surgery.
