UP man dragged 200 metres, hacked to death at funeral feast

A 52-year-old man, Shivkumar Tripathi, was allegedly hacked to death at a funeral feast in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Police said Rahul Chaudhary attacked him with a cleaver before allegedly dragging him 200 metres with his brother, Rohit, and repeatedly striking him with swords. Investigators suspect the murder was revenge for Rahul's cousin's killing in 2024. Further investigation is underway.
