A 26-year-old Meerut man, Talib, was allegedly hacked 17 times with a gandasa by his wife's lover, Aasim, in Muzaffarnagar's Budhana. Police said Talib suffered "deep cut wounds all over his body" and died during treatment. A neighbourhood CCTV reportedly captured the broad-daylight attack. Aasim, 25, was arrested after a brief encounter on Sunday as police investigate the murder.
