UP mulls renaming Allahabad State University to Prayagraj

The Uttar Pradesh government is considering renaming the Allahabad State University and Board of High School and Intermediate to Prayagraj, according to Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma. He said it is obvious that there will be demands to change the names of institutions after Allahabad is renamed as Prayagraj. The UP government on Tuesday formally cleared the decision to rename it.
