UP reports 20,510 new COVID-19 cases in highest single-day surge

Uttar Pradesh has reported 20,510 fresh COVID-19 cases in the highest single-day surge for the state since the coronavirus pandemic began. With 68 more deaths in the last 24 hours, the state's COVID-19 death toll has now reached 9,376. Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath tested positive for COVID-19.
