UP's Tanya Chaudhary beats national record holder, sets new hammer throw record

Uttar Pradesh's Tanya Chaudhary shattered the national record in women's hammer throw with a lifetime best of 68.35 m at Indian Athletics Final Series in New Delhi on Thursday. She beat Uttar Pradesh's Anushka Yadav, who'd set national record with throw of 67.02 m in June. Earlier, Tanya had missed the Asian Games 2026 qualification standard by just 2 cm.
