UP schools & colleges closed till Jan 23 amid COVID surge

Uttar Pradesh schools and colleges will remain closed till January 23, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, Information, said. Initially, schools and colleges in the state were closed till January 16. Uttar Pradesh reported 15,795 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday and the number of active coronavirus cases reached 95,148 in the state.
