UP sees 11.5% drop in deaths due to road accidents since January 1

The Zero Fatality Drive, launched in Uttar Pradesh on January 1, has led to an 11.55% drop in road accident deaths and 7.43% in total crashes, police said in a press note. The initiative covers 487 accident-prone police station areas across 68 districts. However, station in-charges of five police stations were summoned in areas where accidents saw an increase.
