UP surgeon shoots himself dead amid marital discord

Sandeep Singh, a 47-year-old government surgeon posted in Kanpur Dehat, allegedly shot himself with his licensed revolver at his Lucknow apartment on Sunday. Police suspect marital discord as the cause. His wife found him bleeding and he was declared dead at Regency Hospital. Forensic teams seized the revolver and post-mortem is underway.
