UP teen weighing 275 kg undergoes weight-loss surgery in Delhi

A 16-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh weighing nearly 275 kg and with a BMI close to 100 underwent bariatric surgery at Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Severe obesity had caused breathing difficulty, sleep apnoea and skin infection, requiring nearly two weeks in ICU before surgery. Around two months later, his weight dropped to 223 kg.
