UP woman cancels wedding after groom fails to recite table of 2

A woman from Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba district called off her wedding just before the garlands were exchanged when she discovered that the groom could not recite the multiplication table of two. The bride's cousin said the groom's family had kept them in the dark about his education. The families eventually came to a compromise and returned each other's gifts.
