UP woman marries man she tied Rakhi to, father performs last rites

A 20-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj married a 22-year-old man she had known for nearly 15 years and tied Rakhi to, triggering a family dispute. Her father performed her symbolic last rites after learning about the wedding. She denied her family's allegation that she left home with ₹2 lakh. However, she said she married her longtime partner willingly and is happy with him.
