UP woman's initiative honours 9,000 newborn girls in 900 villages

Dr Ebha Patel from Uttar Pradesh’s Khadepur launched “Ghar Ayee Nanhi Pari” initiative in 2019. It has reached around 900 villages across Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, celebrating over 9,000 baby girls. Families were invited to panchayat halls, where newborn girls and mothers received certificates. The initiative has helped implement nearly 600 government schemes and strengthened Anganwadi centres.
