upGrad acquires Bengaluru's The GATE Academy, enters test prep market

Edtech startup upGrad on Tuesday acquired Bengaluru-based The GATE Academy (TGA) for an undisclosed amount, marking its entry into the test preparation market. upGrad said it will invest ₹100 crore into the institute, which will continue to operate under its brand name. The startup added that this is the first such deal in several planned over the next three months.
