upGrad-Unacademy $400 million acquisition talks fall apart: Report

Unacademy and upGrad have called off the talks for a potential acquisition deal due to valuation differences, Moneycontrol reported. Earlier, upGrad offered to acquire Unacademy at a valuation of $300–$400 million, a decline from the edtech firm’s peak valuation of $3.4 billion during the funding boom. Under proposed deal, Unacademy’s investors were expected to receive a minority stake in upGrad.
