UPI payments may pause for merchants who miss RBI's KYC deadline: Report

India's UPI ecosystem could face disruption as the RBI's September 15 KYC deadline approaches, with 30-35% of offline QR-code merchants potentially missing it, Moneycontrol reported. Around 1 million small online businesses are at risk of missing the verification window. Payment aggregators must complete re-KYC for existing merchants by September 15, failing which their payments will be paused.
