UPI volumes remain below May's record high in July

UPI processed 22,193 million transactions worth ₹27.71 lakh crore in July 2026 (as of July 28), according to NPCI data, with monthly volumes remaining below the record 23,201 million transactions logged in May. On average, the platform handled 792 million transactions worth ₹98,976 crore each day. Compared with June, transaction volume declined 2.3%, while transaction value fell 4.2%.
