UP's first 'cow sanctuary' proposed in Muzaffarnagar at a cost of ₹70 cr
A proposal has been sent to the state government for Uttar Pradesh to get its first 'cow sanctuary' on 70 hectares of land in Muzaffarnagar. Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan said the proposed sanctuary will provide shelter to over 5,000 cattle and would help resolve the stray cattle menace in Muzaffarnagar and neighbouring areas. The project will reportedly cost ₹70 crore.
