UPSC mandates facial recognition for all candidates at exam venue

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has said that all candidates appearing in the examinations conducted by the commission "will undergo face authentication at the venue." This comes after UPSC successfully conducted a pilot programme to test an AI-enabled facial authentication technology for candidate verification during the NDA, NA and CDS examinations, held on September 14, 2025.
