Upset over portfolio, K'taka minister Ramalinga resigns from CM Shivakumar's Cabinet within 2 days

Senior Congress leader and newly sworn-in Karnataka minister, Ramalinga Reddy, has resigned from the CM DK Shivakumar-led Cabinet over not being allocated his desired portfolio. The long-time MLA said he was promised the Bengaluru Development Department, but was instead given Major and Medium Irrigation. This comes two days after 13 ministers, including Reddy, took oath alongside the CM.
