Upset with not having son, Hyd man attempts wife's murder, gets 3-year jail

A Hyderabad court sentenced a 55-year-old man to three years in prison for attempting wife's murder. The couple had two daughters and the accused was allegedly unhappy about not having a son. He forced his wife to consent to another marriage and asked her to hand him over their property's paperwork. When denied, he decided to kill her, police said.
